Tokyo.  In a historic first, the Top 5 winners of Miss International 2014 experienced a rare courtesy call from the officials of the Japanese cabinet, where they had the chance to talk with the officials from the Ministry of  Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Reigning queen Valerie Hernandez, Miss International 2014 from Puerto Rico, was joined by the members of her court – Colombia’s Zuelika Suarez, Thailand’s Punika Kulsoontornrut, United Kingdom’s Victoria Tooby and Finland’s Milla Rompanen – where they talked about their respective country’s trade and foreign relations with Japan.   International Cultural Association chairperson, Akemi Shimomura, was also present in the said occasion.

Early today, the five beauty queens departed for Mie Prefecture for another important business assignment.
