Miss Earth Japan 2017 is Yasuyo Saito

Fukuoka’s Yasuyo Saito won the coveted title of Miss Earth Japan 2017 during the coronation event held at the Iino Hall in Tokyo.  Standing 171 cm tall, the 21-year-old model bested 13 other finalists from all over the country.  Yasuyo is also a fan favorite by Missosology members from the Philippines.  She is expected to attract fans in Manila when she competes at the Miss Earth contest on November 4th.
Prior to the finals, the delegates underwent beauty and catwalk training as well as a park clean up drive to promote the Miss Earth cause of protecting the environment.  The organization also conducted a “used toothbrush recycling” campaign at the gate of the finals venue. Spectactors were encouraged to donate their used toothbrush for the said campaign.
Also crowned during the finals were Miss Air Japan 2017 Atsumi Tuskamoto (Tokyo); Miss Water Japan 2017  Kasumi Hayakawa (Aichi); and Miss Fire Japan 2017 Miori Narita (Gunma).
