Geena Thompson was crowned Miss World Bahamas 2017 on Sunday, July 30, at the Baha Mar Convention Centre.
The 24-year-old representative of Long Island bested 8 other candidates for the right to compete at the 2017 Miss World finals in China this November. This 5’9″ tall beauty is into volleyball and crossfit training.
Sharonique Russell (Abaco) and Jerell Strachan (Grand Bahama) were first and second princesses, respectively. Tanisha Jones (Bimini) and Nyisha Tilus (University of the Bahamas) and October Johnson (Exuma) completed the Top 6 finalists.
Thompson is no stranger to the Miss Bahamas pageant as she competed in 2016 and finished as a Top 5 finalist. Missosology.Org
