To represent Ghana in the upcoming Miss World pageant is a 22 year old teacher who hails from Volta Region. Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo beat 15 other contestants and walked away with the crown and title during a glittering finale held at Avenue Event Center. Rocklyn Krampah is the first runner-up while Iren Vanessa Vifah is the second runner-up.

Miriam Xorlasi Tordzeagbo is from Battor in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region. She is focused in helping the aged who she thinks has been neglected especially those who are sick. She dreams of owning her own restaurant someday.

Ghana first participated at Miss World in 1959 and is yet to win a crown. Its highest placement was in 2013 when Carranzar Shooter finished as second runner-up. Ghana is currently ranked 74th at the Big5 Ranking.
