Mireia could even be a unifying figure considering that her region is trying to breakaway from the rest of her country. She is a Catalan woman who is proud to wear the sash of Spain. She is indeed an iconic figure to those who wish to see her country intact.
As unexpected it may be, Mireia Lalaguna’s victory is truly deserving. No one saw her star shining from the beginning. She is always in the dark horse or bubbling-up category. Yet at the finals night she emerged on the top despite the tight competition. Her personality above all else made her win. And as is always the case, personality can sometimes impress us in an unexpected ways.
