Mie, Japan. It’s official! The President of Mikimoto Pearl Island, Mr. Otohisa Matsuda, had officially announced Thursday that they will sponsor the crown of the winner, as well as the tiaras of the runners-up for the 2015 Miss International Beauty Pageant. This welcome news was revealed in time as the 2014 Miss International Top 5 winners visited the famous pearl farm, which is located more than 400 km southwest of Tokyo.
Mikimoto is the world’s largest producer of cultured pearls, with a product quality that is highly esteemed all over the globe. From 2002 to 2007, Mikimoto also sponsored the official crowns of Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.
The new Miss International crown design will be revealed sometime in August. /Stephen Diaz
