Michelle Calderon was crowned the new Miss World Guatemala in a special ceremony held recently. The announcement was made by the new Miss World Guatemala Organization on September 15.
The 20-year-old student and athlete will represent Guatemala at the 70th Miss World contest to be held in December in Puerto Rico.
Calderon has one of the most relevant GPA’s from the Legal and Social Sciences Faculty at Rafael Landivar University. She is a volleyball player, ballet dancer and currently preparing to compete in the swimming arena. Calderon has built a project related to the Textile Export Industry of Guatemala with the one she has generated secure jobs for more than 90 single mothers since 2018.
“I dream of being able to be a voice for the neediest mothers, I dream of being able to guarantee a stable source of employment and education for the Guatemalan families that need it most,” she said.
