Marco Victor greets everyone on Missosology!
Spend some time with Marco, and it’s impossible not to come away impressed with his youthful zeal and focus. He is a thinker, a consummate professional, always aware of his surroundings and never losing sight of his main goal – that is to make his country proud in the Mister Global 2014 pageant. Marco has the will and thoughtfulness to make things work. Touted as an early-favorite, he continues to wow male pageant watchers.
Background
This 19 year old student of psychology has a face that adorned many magazines & graced many fashion shows in Myanmar. He has a beautiful blend of Indian, Scottish & Burmese ancestries. When asked what his friends would say to describe him, he said – “My friends will tell you – I’m fine, I’m great. They always ask me why I’ve decided to stay in Myanmar as a model. They advised me that I should go international.”
Playing tennis, volleyball, swimming, singing and dancing classical/jazz music filled much of his recreational time growing up. “I like singing pop songs. My favorite music artists are Jason Mraz. Timbaland & Miley Cyrus. I’ve won a gold medal in volleyball. I can say that I’m also good at dancing “cha-cha.” It was my aunt who thought me all the moves,” Marco said.
When it comes to love, respect is very important for a guy like Marco. “I had 6 girlfriends in the past. My ideal girl is someone who has good IQ & EQ (emotional intelligence quotient). I prefer tall girls who have pretty looks. In any relationship, I want respect between us. I also love taking my girl out on a romantic date in a cozy restaurant where we could dance cha-cha,” he said.
Preparations
Marco’s unwavering desire to succeed and willingness to learn are stronger than ever. Ask Marco what he does in his free time, and more than likely, he’ll say that he’s working out in the gym for the competition. “The reason why I got selected to represent Myanmar is because of my height & good English communication skills. My main weakness is my body. I need more cuts and amass more weight to make my body look bigger. Every single day, I hit the gym twice every mornings & during evenings. I want to become the perfect match for the Mister Global pageant’s qualifications,” he said.
Marco has this quiet confidence to him. His striking drawl sends chills up the spine and his deep brown eyes make anyone want to melt. Marco is under the supervision of Zay Yan Hein – Owner & Director of Operations of Brilliant Entertainment & Modelling Agency. According to him, “Marco is young, talented and has good experience as a professional model. He maybe young but he is mature enough to perform well. He got the popularity award in a modeling competition in Korea.”
As for his agency, he wants to get more awareness & international exposure for the modeling world in Myanmar. “Our agency aims to provide new generation of models that can go up the ranks of international standards. We have given birth to highly qualified models, we don’t go for quantity,” Zay said.
Marco Myat Thuya Lwin stays focused through it all. He’s much more than just a Burmese heart-throb, he has a lot of promise. He studied all aspects of the competition, trained, and is about to make it happen. “I will try my best and I will make my country proud. I’m gonna try. I hope people will be interested in my journey in the upcoming Mister Global pageant,” he concludes.
