A sendoff was held Tuesday, January 10 for Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina before she competes at 65th Miss Universe pageant.

Although the host country happens to be the country she is representing, Medina was given a rousing send-off by her national director Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and the Bb Pilipinas Charities, Inc (BPCI) at the Versailles Tent, Novotel Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.
Medina said she is 100% ready to compete and that she is confident to give the Philippines a back-to-back win. She also thanked BPCI and all the people who supported her and helped her prepare for the Miss Universe pageant.
