Kim Kotter, the Dutch National Director who holds both the Miss World and Miss Universe franchise is setting her priorities right. Last year, she both crowned a Miss World Netherlands and a Miss Universe Netherlands. So, early on, people already knew that Tatjana will head for London while Yasmin will fly to Doral.

This year, Kim just crowned a Miss Nederland. Then she also crowned the first runner-up. Yes, with a literal crown but with a sash saying Miss Nederland first runner-up. So, people kept on guessing what’s going on. But that was when Miss Universe schedule – and ownership – was in limbo.

The analysis of Missosology before is that Kim was planning to revert her 2009, 2010 and 2012 strategy. That is to send her best on both Miss World and Miss Universe. Alas that is no longer viable. Miss World is on December 19. Miss Universe on December 20. So Kim has to set her priorities right.

Statistics would show that the Netherlands (currently ranked 20th at the Big4 Ranking CLICK HERE) is gaining in the world of pageantry (up from 24th in 2011) with most of the points from Miss World. But Kim realized victory is more viable at Miss Universe than at Miss World as evidenced by the placements of last year’s winners Tatjana and Yasmin.

So, for the Miss World 2015 pageant, the first runner-up of Miss Nederland 2015 contest, Margot Hanekamp, will represent the Netherlands. She will soon fly to Sanya for the international pageant. Margot is 5’9″ tall and is 19 years old.
