Pageant veteran Luwi Kawanda will represent Zambia at Miss International 2019 to be held in Tokyo, Japan starting October 25.

The 25-year-old public administrator was crowned Miss Grand Zambia 2019. However, due to the political uncertainty in the host country of Venezuela, her organization has decided to send her to the more prestigious Miss International pageant, which is celebrating its 59th edition this year.

Luwi’s pageant record includes:
Miss University Africa Zambia 2015
Miss Heritage Zambia 2016 3rd Runner-up
Miss Tourism Zambia 2016
Miss Universe Zambia 2017 2nd Runner-up

Her pageant journey has led her to launch her advocacy for young children, which has always been her passion. At Miss International, Luwi will do her best to bring the title to her continent for the very first time in history.

Zambia last competed in 2015 at Miss International and is yet to win the title. Mariem Velazco of Venezuela will turn over the crown during the final gala to be held on November 12th. Missosology.Org
