A 24-year-old flight attendant will represent Soctland at the 2018 Miss World pageant to be held China in December.
Linzi McLelland from West Mains, was crowned the new Miss Scotland in a glittering finale in Glasgow’s Corinthian Club on June 15.
“I’m so overwhelmed, I never expected to win,” McLelland was quoted by East Kilbride News. “I am honoured and very proud – especially to be the first Miss Scotland from East Kilbride.
On the lead up to her victory, McLelland has been raising money for the mental health charity Scottish Association for Mental Health, raising £1820 for the cause. The charity is very close to Linzi’s heart after losing her dad, Jim, to suicide in 2013. Missosology.Org
