When we seek for answers on something that is profoundly strange, we always come up with varied explanations. For example, how can we explain that Miss Hungary Linda Szunai was out of the semis at Miss International 2015? As we grasp for something out of thin air, it is increasingly clear that the trend in Miss International is slowly departing from trends that were prevalent from its inception way into the late 90s. The pageant is no longer favoring the Europeans.
The last European to be crowned as Miss International was way back in 2008 and since then, the crown was simply passed between the Latinas and the East Asians. This is already a very telling factor for Linda Szunai. Well in fact, Europeans could have been shut off from the semis of Miss International 2015! The only saving grace – an equally inexplicable outcome – was Miss United Kingdom Sophie Loudon.
Linda has been the in the conversation of pageant analysts post-finals. The main question swirling is how can a shapely European bombshell be denied of a semis place. Her lacy gown during the finals night highlighted the sophistication in her beauty. During the swimsuit competition, Linda was topnotch. Her curvaceous body and her excellent catwalk skills are in par with the Top 5 – even surpassing some of them.
Indeed, we can come up with varied explanations as to why Linda Szunai was excluded from the semis. Could it be her gown? Or perhaps her swimsuit performance? Did she fail in her prelim interviews? Or perhaps it is just because Miss International decided to become Europhobe instead of being a usual Europhile.
Whatever the case maybe, there is a general consensus among missosologists that Miss International is slowly shedding its old image. It wants to explore a brand new world. Sadly, this probably means it will not favor European beauties like it used to. That’s what hit Linda Szunai. If only Linda was there in the semis, she could have poised a threat to the favorites and could have been easily her country’s best beauty queen at the Big4 pageants.
