Cece Asuncion is the new Miss Supranational USA license holder

Filipino-American Cecilio “Cece” Asuncion, a highly respected figure in the American and international LGBT community is the new license holder of Miss Supranational for the United States.  Last seen as a preliminary judge at the 66th Miss Universe pageant held in Las Vegas last year, the Los Angeles-based producer and director is currently putting together a formidable team to produce a spectacular Miss Supranational USA show this summer.
Asuncion is currently a partner with Joshua Jones and Brian Anderson in Thigh High Productions, LLC.  As a team, they created and co-produced STRUT on Oxygen Network as well as the highly acclaimed What’s the T? documentary, which followed the lives of five transgender women from New York and San Francisco.  Their partnership on STRUT with 44 Blue Productions and Academy Award winner, Whoopi Goldberg, included Cece as a cast participant, following his work as the director for Slay Model Management, the worlds first transgender model agency.
Cece’s accolades include prestigious awards for exceptional achievement, LGBT advocacy, outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the quality of life for the LGBT community.
Cece has also spoken at several universities and public events regarding the importance of transgender equality and how to serve as an ally for the community.  In addition to ongoing film work and management of Slay Model Management, he is currently working on a book under the Carol Mann Agency.
With Cece as a new addition to the growing Miss Supranational family, Nowa Scena CEO Gerhard von Lipinski, the producer of the annual Big5 pageant, says that he is very excited to work with such an amazing person, who is not only a visionary, but is someone with a relevant platform and advocacy.
