Larissa Ping from Sarawak was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2018 after edging out 11 other candidates during the finals held Septemver 8 in Kuching.
The 19-year-old beauty will travel to Sanya, China for the 2018 Miss World finals in December. She also bagged the Top Talent and Miss Photogenic awards. She will also be Sarawak Tourism Ambassador for 2019.
“There’s so much more for me to learn and improve, but I am certain that with the Lord’s guidance I will be able to make it through to deliver the best,” Ping posted on Instagram after winning.
Naomi Sim and Shannon Jade placed second and third, respectively.
Winners of other special awards were Francisca Luhong James (Top Model and People’s Choice), Zane Wong (Miss Personality), and Shannon Jade (Miss Elegance). Missosology.Org
