Kathleen Pérez Coffre, a respiratory therapy student, has been crowned as Miss Mundo Panama 2022. She will represent Panama in the next edition of Miss World. The crowning took place in April 24 at Teatro Balboa where every province in Panama was represented.

The 5’9″ tall beauty is 22 years of age and hails from the province of Bocas del Toro. In the same contest, Diana Martínez was hailed as first runner-up while Angie Alexandra Paz is the second runner-up. Completing the Top 5 are Chelsea Bailey (3rd runner-up) and Anyelid Chiffi Herazo (4th runner-up). There were 10 judges who selected the winners and the British ambassador, Tim Stew, is one of the distinguished guests.

Panama is yet to win a Miss World crown. There are a total of 6 Panamanian beauty queens to made it to the cut and the highest placement was in 2009 when Nadege Herrera became one of the Top 7.
