Karolina Vidales of Michoacán was crowned Miss Mexico 2021 during the finals held July 3 at Lago Di Como in Chihuahua.

The 24-year-old international business and business administration graduate edged out 31 other candidates for the title, earning the right to represent Mexico at the 70th Miss World contest in Puerto Rico later this year. She succeded 2019 winner Ashley Alvidrez.

Quintana Roo’s Regina González and Oaxaca’s Sabrina Góngora placed first and second runners-up, respectively. Meanwhile, Mariana Macías bagged the Miss Mexico Grand 2021 title.
