The official Miss World Korea website has announced that Jung Eun-ju, a 22 year old beauty from Seoul, will represent Korea at the Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China with the finals slated on December 19. The appointment was made as the Miss World Korea pageant was postponed this year. Usually, the first runner-up of the Miss Korea pageant goes to Miss World while the winner competes at Miss Universe. However, in 2011, a separate pageant was held specifically designed to select Korean representatives for Miss World. Korea almost had its first Miss World, in 1988, when Choi Yeon-hee was hailed as first princess. It was also the very same year when Korea placed as first runner-up at Miss Universe.
