Julia Aguilar was crowned as the new Miss Mundo Nicaragua. She replaced Ismeli Jarquín who relinquished her title due to personal reasons. Julia Aguilar will compete at the 72nd edition of Miss World.
“Being the ambassador of Beauty with a Purpose is a source of pride and a great responsibility that I assume with all the love and commitment it deserves. I am willing to continue working as an agent of change in our society”, she said during her crowning ceremony, in Managua.
Nicaragua is yet to win the Miss World crown. The country highest placement was in 2001 when Ligia Argüello Roa made it to the Top 5.
