Santacruzan is a Philippine religious tradition that dates back from Spanish colonial times usually held during the last week of May. It is a festive event where faith and spirituality meets beauty and pageantry. In fact, one can say that Santacruzan is the first ever beauty pageant in the Philippines.
To pay homage to this cultural tradition, Bb. Pilipinas staged its own version of Grand Santacruzan 2022. The reigning queens including the 40 contestants of Bb. Pilipinas 2022 pageant donned fabulous and expensive costumes in an event was held at Araneta Center in Quezon City. Check out below photos by Missosology’s photographer Bong Tan.
