Honduras has crowned 3 of its Big5 beauty queens during a coronation night held in the resort city of La Ceiba which about 5-hours drive northeast of the capital city of Tegucigalpa. Boasting powdery white beaches and a stunning swimming pool meters away from the Caribbean Sea, La Quinta hotel played host to 18 Honduran beauties each representing the country’s departments.
Celia Monterrosa (photo above, center, seated) has been crowned as Miss World Honduras a.k.a. Miss Mundo Honduras. She will represent Honduras at the Miss World 2017 pageant which will be co-hosted by Singapore and the People’s Republic of China. The finals is set on November 18 in Sanya, Hainan, PR China.
Vanessa Villars (standing to the right of Celia with red-accented crown) meanwhile has been bestowed the title of Miss International Honduras 2017. She will compete in Tokyo on November 14 finals for the main international title which is yet to be won by a Honduran beauty. In 2015, Jennifer Valle almost won it for Honduras when she placed as first runner-up.
