Last year’s first runner-up at Miss Universe Korea pageant has been appointed as Miss Universe Korea 2022! Hanna Ming is a 26 year old dancer, model, linguist and interpreter and hails from the capital city of Seoul. She will compete for the Miss Universe 2022 title. The date and venue of the finals is yet to be announced.
Interestingly, Korea is yet to win the Miss Universe crown. The country had some level of success during the late 1950s till 1960s. Its highest placement was in 1988 when Jang Yoon-jeong finished as first runner-up to Porntip Nakhirunkanok. The latest Korean beauty queen to make waves at Miss Universe is Lee Ha-nui a.k.a. Honey Lee. She was third runner-up during the Miss Universe 2017 pageant held in Mexico.
