The Reinas de Costa Rica organization has appointed Glennis Medina Segura as Costa Rica’s representative to the annual Miss International beauty pageant this year.
Medina, who finished fourth runner-up at the Miss Eco International 2018 competition in Egypt, will travel to Japan for the 2018 Miss International contest in November. She was also Miss Costa Rica del Cafe at Reinado Internacional del Cafe 2018.
“I will be representing the country in one of the most important and prestigious contests in the world,” she said in an Instagram post. “My heart races with joy knowing that I have been forming my way every day and I will have the honor of representing my country in one of the most impressive countries that exists not only for its incredible places but for its culture.”
Costa Rica has won the Miss International crown twice: in 1980 with Lorna Chávez and in 1983 with Gidget Sandoval. Missosology.Org
