Stephanie De Zorzi, Miss Tierra Venezuela 2013-14, will represent her country at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant to be held October 29 in the Philippines.
Miss Earth’s official Facebook page and website posted today that De Zorzi is Venezuela’s representative this year.
She was supposed to compete in 2014 but was replaced by Maira Alexandra Rodriguez for allegedly being overweight. Rodriguez finished as Miss Water in the international pageant.
El Nacional newspaper in Caracas reported earlier today that “unofficially” Miss Earth 2013 Alyz Henrich is the new franchise owner of Miss Earth in Venezuela and that Organizacion Miss Venezuela won’t be sending a delegate this year.
An official crowning ceremony will reportedly be held today. De Zorzi will travel to New York to continue her preparation, added the El Nacional report. DF, Missosology.Org
