Priyadarshini Chatterjee was crowned fbb Femina Miss India 2016 at the conclusion of the pageant held April 9. The freelance model and student will represent India at the 2016 Miss World pageant.
Asked why she should be the next Miss India during the final interview round, Chatterjee said: “Miss India should be true to herself, she should have a personality to reflect who she is. My personality reflects that and that’s why I should be the next Miss India.”
Sushruthi Krishna finished first runner-up and won the Beauty with a Purpose award, while Pankhuri Gidwani placed second runner-up. Navpreet Kaur and Roshmitha Harimurthy completed the Top 5 finalists.
Dnyanda Shringarpure won the Miss Multimedia subcontest and got fasttracked to the TOp 10. The rest of the 10 semifinalists were: Natasha Singh, Gayathri Reddy, Vaishnavi Patwardhan and Aradhana Buragohain.
Reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna from Spain sat as one of the judges. Missosology.Org
