Emmy Peña, representing Duarte, was crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2021 during the finals held September 4 at Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort.
The 24-year-old model bested 24 other candidates for the title. She will head on to represent the Dominican Republic at the 70th Miss World in December in Puerto Rico.
Meanwhile, Celinee Santos Frias (San Francisco) bagged the Miss International República Dominicana 2021 title. She will compete at the 60th Miss International beauty pageant next year.
