A professional model will represent Sri Lanka at the 2021 Miss Earth pageant to be held later this year.
Diandra Soysa received the crown from Nati Fernando, Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2018 and Miss Earth Sri Lanka head of operations in a special ceremony, the organization posted on September 22. She succeeded Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2020 Romane Dananjani who was not able to crown Soysa as she was out of the country at the moment.
“I cannot explain the amount of honor and joy it brings me to be nominated as the new MISS EARTH SRI LANKA 2021,” Soysa posted on Instagram. “I’m extremely humbled by this opportunity to use my voice to work towards saving our Mother Earth as well as to represent my beautiful country at the international pageant and try my best to bring the crown home!”
