Desiree Cordero was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2014 last night, beating 14 other candidates for the right to represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Doral-Miami, Florida in January.
She was crowned by last year’s winner Patricia Yurena Rodriguez, who placed first runner-up in Miss Universe 2013.
First runner-up is Raquel Ruiz while Mamen Metallah finished second runner-up. The rest of rhe top 6 were Meriem Mustafa, Barbara Amerigo and Beatriz Jimenez.
Desiree, a 21-year-old Sevilla native, is into kick boxing and extreme sports. She lists Beyoncé and Leonardo di Caprio as her favorite singer and actor, respectively. She started modelling at age 17.
