Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned Miss South Africa 2017 on Sunday night at a star studded ceremony at the Sun City Superbowl.
She is a 21-year-old final year B.Com business management & entrepreneurship student from Sedgefield in the Western Cape. She is expected to compete in either the Miss World or Miss Universe pageant.
Her runners-up are Adè van Heerden (1st Princess), and Boipelo Mabe (2nd Princess).
Priyeshka Lutchman and Shané Naidoo completed the Top 5 while the rest of the Top 8 were Iman Mkwanazi, Nicole van Niekerk and Odirile Sepeng.
This year was the first time the public was able to vote for their favorites but the winner was chosen by the judges. Missosology.Org
