Copiapó’s Daniela Nicolás was crowned Miss Universo Chile 2020 during the finals held November 20 at the Mediamix TV studios in Santiago.
The 28-year-old actress, TV presenter and professional make-up artist bested seven other finalists for the title and the right to represent the South America nation in the next edition of the Miss Universe competition. She received the crown from outgoing queen Geraldine González.
“Once again I was able to show that limits are set by oneself, and as I said yesterday in my final speech, being different does not make us less capable, on the contrary, being different fills us with tools that we can exploit and use to our advantage,” Nicolás posted on Instagram.
Karina Pérez (Ovalle), Romina Denecken (Colina), and Sofía Depassier (Comunidad Extranjera) completed the Top 4.
Chile bagged the Miss Universe crown in 1987 with Cecilia Bolocco. It currently ranks 42nd in Missosology Big5 Ranking. Missosology.Org; Photos from Miss Universo Chile
