Costa Rica has chosen its candidates for the three of the Big4 Pageants!

Angelica Reyes, a student studying nutrition, was chosen to represent Costa Rica at the Miss World pageant which will be held in Sanya, China this December. She will be preparing soon for her Beauty with a Cause project as well as getting physically fit for the sports contest and more preparations for her talent show.

Costa Rica is not that lucky at Miss World. Only three beauties from this Central American nation managed to be in the semis of Miss World, a pageant described by the Costa Rican newspaper, La Nacion, as the second most important pageant in the world.

On the same event held at the Sheraton Hotel, Melania Gonzalez was chosen to represent Costa Rica for the Miss International pageant. The pageant is described by La Nacion as the third most important pageant in the world and will be held on November 5, 2015 at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Costa Rica is pretty much successful at Miss International. It has two winners – Lorna Marlene Chávez (1980) and Gidget Sandoval (1983).

Meanwhile, Andrea Rojas will compete in what is described by La Nacion as the fourth most important pageant in the world – the Miss Earth pageant. It will be conducted in Vienna, Austria this December. It is a pageant where Costa Rica finished 2nd runner-up in 2003 thanks to the great performance of Marianela Zeledon. In 2012, Fabiana Granados was one of the semifinalists in the pageant. Fabiana went on to compete at Miss Universe 2013 where she was also hailed as one of the semifinalists.
