Cook Islands crowns 2017 queens for Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International

Alanna Smith wad crowned Miss Cook Islands 2017 during the finals held July 29.

Smith will head on to compete at the 2017 Miss World finals in November in China. She also bagged the following special awards: Social Media People’s Choice, Swimwear, Pareu Wear, Pageant Interview and Traditional Wear.

Also crowned in the same event was Miss Earth Cook Islands 2017 Mona Taio. She will represent the Islands at the 2017 Miss Earth finals in November in the Philippines. She also won the Talent award.

Meanwhile, Silas Tuaputa was named Miss International Cook Islands 2017. She will fly to Japan for the 2017 Miss International beauty pageant to be held in November. Tuaputa was also awared the Rakei Wearable Arts and Te Reo Korero prizes.

Other special awards went to Teivanui Maui (Miss Congeniality Contestants Choice), Georgia Short (Photogenic) and Heleina Strickland (Muumuu Gown). Missosology.Org
