Miss World Italy 2017 has just been concluded! The winner is Conny Notarstefano and she is officially bestowed with the title Miss Mondo Italia 2017.
Conny Notarstefano is a 22 year old beauty who stands 5’9″. She won in a national competition held in Teatro de Roma in the southern town of Gallipoli, Apulia. Conny will represent Italy in the Miss World 2017 competition which will be held in China later this year.
Wearing the sash Miss Mundo Lazio during the competition, Conny Notarstefano hails from Lucera in the province of Foggia. Conny can’t contain her emotion when crowned.
“I rarely cry,” she said. “Those who knew me very well understood that I always detach myself from emotion.” Ask about her name which sounds like an American, Conny explained that her full name is actually Concetta. Her mother named her Conny in honor of American artist Connie Francis.
Conny Notarstefano had been living in Rome for three years studying Motor Sciences. The runner-up to Conny is Ornella La Rosa (Miss Mondo Sicilia) while Elisa Muriale (Miss Mondo Piemonte) has been ranked third.
Italy is yet to win the Miss World crown. The closest that the country has ever been to the title was in 2000 when Giorgia Palmas became the first runner-up.
