Cindy Marina was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2019 in a glittering finale held June 7 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.
The 20-year-old model and athlete edged out 19 other candidates for the right to represent the country in the next edition of the Miss Universe competition.
“This is so surreal and this journey has been nothing short of incredible,” Marina posted on her Instagram account. “I look forward to a beautiful year as Miss Universe Albania and want to thank everyone who has supported me and given me love during this! I cannot wait for what lies ahead!”
Marina was born in Chicago, USA and studies at the University of Southern California. She has played for the Albanian national volleyball team.
Amela Kalari and Adela Cani placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
