Caroline Teixeira, representing Distrito Federal, was crowned Miss Brasil Mundo 2021 during the finals held August 19 in Brasilia.
The 23-year-old law graduate will head on compete at the 70th Miss World contest in November in Puerto Rico.. She succeeded 2020 winner Elís Miele.
Rio Grande do Sul’s Alina Furtado and Espirito Santo’s Gabriela Botelho placed first and second runners-up, respectively. The rest of the Top 6 were Mato Grosso do Sul’s Dandara Queiroz, Pernambuco’s Guilhermina Montarroyos, and Piauí’s Larissa Barros.
“Sei que serão muitos os desafios mas, com esforço e dedicação, tenho a convicção de que alcançarei a minha melhor performance (I know there will be many challenges but, with effort and dedication, I am convinced that I will achieve my best performance),” Teixeira posted on Instagram. “Prometo que me dedicarei ao máximo e irei representar nosso país da melhor forma possível (I promise that I will dedicate myself to the fullest and I will represent our country in the best possible way).”
