Pageant veteran Bianca Lorena Tirsin has won the Miss Universe Romania 2020 crown. The announcement was made in a TV report that aired December 1 on Antenna Stars.
The 21-year-old model and businesswoman from Transylvania bested 29 other aspirants for the right to represent the southeastern European nation in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant. The finals was taped last month and will be aired in the coming days.
She makes history as the first from Romania to compete in three Big5 beauty pageants. She first joined Miss Supranational 2017 in Poland and finished second runner-up. A year later, she traveled to Japan for the 2018 Miss International beauty pageant and placed third runner-up.
Tirsin has been advocating for children’s access quality education since 2015, believing in the power of education to transform lives and combating bullying in Romania. She currently manages her online business, and also works as a spokesperson for charities such as Cetatea Voluntarilor, Fundatia Renasterea and others.
