Anna Neplyah was crowned Miss Ukraine Universe 2021 in a glittering finale held October 15 in Kyiv.

The 27-year-old model and artist bested 14 other candidates for the title. She will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She suceeded 2020 titleholder Yelyzaveta Yastremska.

Victoria Apanasenko placed as first runner-up. Also crowned in the event were Miss Charm Ukraine 2021 Diana Dudka and Miss Eco International Ukraine 2021 Nelya Popovich.

“I want to become Miss Ukraine Universe to show by example to all the girls that everything is possible and everything is in our head. I want women to learn to love themselves and not deny their power in femininity,” Neplyah said in her Miss Ukraine Universe profile.

Neplyah graduated from the Kiev University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. She previously represented Ukraine at the 2017 Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt.
