Angela Tanuzi (Anxhela Tanuzi in Albanian) was crowned as Miss World Albania 2022 during a pageant held on June 10. The 19 year old fashion model from Krujë will represent Albania in the next edition of Miss World. She was crowned during the Miss Universe Albania and Miss Universe Kosovo finals night where Albania crowns its representative to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth.
The next edition of Miss World will probably be held in 2023. The pageant is supposed to make a comeback in 2021 after it was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, the contestants and staff of Miss World were infected with COVID-19 back in December 2021 forcing the organizers to postpone the finals night and move it to March 2022. Pageant observers thought it will be still called as Miss World 2021 but the winner, Poland’s Karolina Bielawska, has assumed the title of Miss World 2022.
Albania first participated at Miss World 2011. To date, Albania is yet to penetrate the semis of Miss World.
