tina4A beautiful coincidence – that’s the best way to describe the gown of Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna. For Tina Olari, the designer of the dress, luck is simply on her side. As the official couturier of the Miss World Barcelona contest, Tina has been responsible for creating breathtaking gowns for Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna right from the start. And for that, she would like to believe that she is Mireia’s lucky charm. “Some days ago, someone asked me if I give these girls luck. I want to believe so,” Tina told Missosology.Org in an exclusive interview.

It helps a lot that Tina knows Mireia very well. She developed a personal friendship with the beauty queen when she started dressing her for the Miss World Barcelona contest. “I know her silhouette, her strengths, and the best color that would help her stand out from all the Miss World contest beauties,” confides Tina. Her main aim in coming up with a gown design for the Miss World 2015 finals was how to make the beauty of Mireia stand out among 100 plus contestants.

Tina, a Romanian designer living in Spain, literally looked above for inspiration. Then she knew what the perfect color was for Mireia – sky blue! She further elaborated to Missosology the details of the gown. “I was looking for high quality materials, mermaid cut with a generous tail lengthens the figure, lace fabric with sequins, crystals and guipure with sleeves, and invisible tulle silk back, with rhinestones application, lace and glass buttons.”

Tina started creating Mireia’s gown two months before the contest took off in China. She said that it was purely coincidental that the dress matches well with blue sapphire crown of Miss World. “I think the crown attracted Mireia. They were made for each other!”

Coincidentally, sky blue matches with the color of Miss World crown. Tina Olari looked up to the sky - literally - for inspiration. The blue hue matches well with the color of Mireia's eyes
