Alyssa Boston, who hails from Tecumseh, Ontario, was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2019 in a pageant held in Metro Toronto Convention Center on August 17. She will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.

Finishing as first runner-up is Megha Sandhu who hails from Quebec. Sasha Lombardi, Bianca Foo and Svetlana Mamaeva were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Alyssa, who described herself as ambitious, confident and innovative woman, has a Bachelor Degree in Commerce. She listed a plethora of hobbies including playing the piano and gymnastics. In 2018, she represented Canada at the Miss Supranational pageant but she was unplaced.

Since 2016, Canada has consistently placed in the semifinals at Miss Universe. Last year’s candidate Marta Stępień was a top favorite. To date, there are two Canadians who won the crown: Karen Baldwin (1982) and Natalie Glebova (2005). Missosology.Org
