Allison Wassmer was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2021 during the finals held August 14 in Managua.
The 24-year-old entrpreneur from Managua bested six other candidates for the top plum and the right to represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She succeeds 2020 winner Ana Marcelo who placed in the Top 21 of the 69th Miss Universe.
Glennys Medina finished first runner-uo while and Zulema Bravo placed second runner-up.
