Alida Tomanic is 19 years of age and she is pursuing a degree in architecture. She hails from the town of Ptuj and will compete at the Miss World 2024 competition. A total of 12 contestants vied for the Miss Slovenije 2023 title. Aleksandra Matan was the first runner-up while Tijana Bektasevic is the 2nd runner-up.
Slovenia was once part of Yugoslavia and it started competing at the major pageants during the 90s. It debuted at Miss World in 1992 and since then no Slovenian woman has ever landed in the semis. Slovenia is currently ranked 96th at the Big5 Ranking.
