Representing the state of San Luis Potosí, 22 year old Alejandra Díaz de León emerged as the overall winner in a field of 32 contestants. Finishing as first runner-up is Sofia Zamora (Colima) while the 2nd runner-up is Karla Rivas (Sinaloa). Rounding up the Top 5 are Emmy Port (Yucatan) and Monica Carrillo (Nayarit). The pageant was held in Morelos Theater in the city of Morelia. The panel of judges includes Mexico’s first ever Miss World Vanessa Ponce de León and Miss World 1995 Jacqueline Aguilera from Venezuela.

Alejandra Díaz de León will represent Mexico at the Miss World 2023 pageant which will be held in the United Arab Emirates later this year. She has degree in Spanish-American Language and Literature and not really a stranger in the world of international beauty pageants. In 2019, she won the Miss Globe International crown beating 45 contestants from around the world in a pageant held in Montenegro.
