Aleida Josefa Perez was crowned Miss Earth Cuba 2023 during the Welcome Party held at Caro Wellness Center. She was appointed by NBNC Nuestra Belleza Nacional Cuba, the franchise holder and responsible for sending the representative of Cuba.
Aleida is a graduate of the University of Florida with a double major in Political Science and International Studies, along with a minor in Economics. She currently works as a certified paralegal with extensive experience, holding the position of Head Immigration Paralegal, specializing in Business Immigration. Aleida is fluent in English, Spanish, and Arabic
Aleida, who represented the title of Miss Villa Clara, is proud to have the opportunity to be able to represent her Cuban roots at the international level. She is the founder of her own nonprofit organization, Hearts in Mind, driven by the ethos of “thinking with love” to press issues of education inequality, particularly in under-resourced communities. She has the privilege to advocate for the cause to ensure every child can receive a quality education, regardless of their background with ongoing projects of building schools in Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Turkey. Aleida has also worked with other charities such as in collaboration with the City of Miami Dade, organizing bi-monthly food drives for the unhoused population, extending support to those in need. She has formed partnerships with organizations such as Lotus House, Kristi’s House, and the O’Farrill Center, equipping parents with the tools necessary and empower mothers, to foster a sense of self-belief that positively influences their children’s education.
Previously, she won her first title as Miss Hispanidad 2021 and also won the title of World Perfect Florida’s Most Beautiful Miss in 2022. She is set to compete for Miss Earth 2023 on December 22nd at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Miss Earth is an annual international environmental-themed beauty pageant competition promoting environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility. Miss Earth is part of the Big5 Pageants ranked next to Miss World, Miss International, Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational.
