The 23-year-old beauty from Leixlip, County Kildare, will represent Ireland at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant which will be held in El Salvador. Aishah Akorede is a fashion model and a law graduate. She has a Masters in International Corporate Governance with a Degree Plus Employability Award and is currently in the process of completing her Chartered Governance Qualification Programme.
Aishah Akorede’s participation at Miss Universe 2023 marks the return of Ireland at the pageant. The country didn’t send a representative during the 2022 competition. Aishah Akorede hopes to make history as no Irishwoman has ever won the Miss Universe crown. Marlene Margaret McKeown in 1963 and Roberta Brown in 1983 posted the highest placements for Ireland by finishing as 2nd runners-up.
