Beamed live on RTI channel and watched by millions of viewers, Marlène Kouassi has been crowned as the new Miss Côte d’Ivoire by outgoing queen and Miss World Africa Olivia Yacé. The pageant was held at Palais des Congrès of the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire. A total of 27 candidates vied for the prestigious title. The first runner up is Nassita Diako while Laurel Gnakpa is the second runner-up. Completing the Top 5 were Amy Touré and Paule-Nelly Kouamé.
Marlène Kouassi is a 23 year-old law student and was a very popular candidate at the Miss Côte d’Ivoire pageant. Attending the finals night filled with enthusiastic crowd are CEO of Miss World Julia Morley and Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska of Poland. Marlène Kouassi will represent Côte d’Ivoire in the upcoming 71st Miss World pageant.
