Nadia Ferreira has been appointed as Miss Universo Paraguay 2021, Promociones Gloria organization announced on August 31.
The 22-year-old top model will represent the nation at the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel in December. She suceeded 2020 titleholder Vanessa Castro.
“This is a dream come true. I will officially be PARAGUAY to the eyes of the universe. I can’t help it, but to feel so much happiness and joy for this great honor and for the support I’m already receiving from a whole country, my country,” Ferreira posted on Instagram.
No stranger to pageants, Ferreira previously represented Paraguay at the Miss Teen Universe 2014 competition in Guatemala and finishef third runner-up. As a model, she has appeared on various fashion shows in Milan, Santiago, Paris, Brazil, Paraguay, Mexico, Qatar, and Dubai. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business engineering at the Universidad Americana in Asunción.
