The battle officially begins as the Final 30 of the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition was finally revealed today! After weeks of virtual competitions, the field has been finally narrowed down to the best of the best for the chance to wear the crown currently held by Rabiya Mateo and represent the Philippines at the 70th Miss Universe competition to be held in Israel in December.

This year’s edition is even more exciting with the entry of former national titleholders, celebrities, social media influencers and pageant newbies. It is going to be another tough competition come finals on September 25.

Leading Missosology’s first hot picks is the stunner from Cavite, Victoria Velasquez Vincent. This 25-year-old Filipino-Spanish-Irish with a double masters degree in architecture and heritage conservation. Victoria wasn’t among the heavy and popular favorites early in the race to the Final 30, up until she topped the interview challenge. That, though, didn’t come as a surprise to us given how eloquent and classy this lady was during that interview.

Victoria fits the bill of current Miss Universe winners: well-spoken, modern, beautiful and most of all, with a purpose-driven agenda. Her beauty and demeanor reminds us so much of Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa. She’s someone to really watch out for!

In second place is the beautiful Maureen Christa Wroblewitz of Pangasinan. This 23-year-old model was the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model season 5 so she is no stranger to competition. She is one of the most facially beautiful candidates in this batch. She looks a tiny bit raw at the moment, especially in the pasarela department, but knowing she is under the guidance of one of the top beauty camps, Maureen will definitely surprise us all come finals.

In third place is Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City, who is a proud member of the LGBT community. She is one of the best speakers in batch, but aside from that, she is also an experienced pageant contestant having won Binibining Cebu 2020. All she needs to focus on is to find the right styling for the finals because we see her slaying the competition.

In fourth place is Christelle Abello of Aklan. This girl entered last year’s competition with so much potential and returns in perfect form. She has shown a marked improvement since last year and her recent interviews are proof that Christelle is more than just a pretty face.

Rounding up our Top 5 for now is Masbate’s Kirsten Danielle Delavin, who is out to prove that she is more than just the sweet-looking former reality TV star. While she is among the national pageant newbies in the batch, this girl definitely delievers in the interview department. While she is among the most popular delegates, Kisses should work double time on her styling and pasarela.

We are also keeping a keen eye on pageant veterans Cebu Province’s Steffi Rose Aberasturi, Taguig’s Katrina Dimaranan, and Laguna’s Leren Mae Bautista. These three have shown great desire to win the crown. With their improved looks, interview skills and fresher styling, they could very well end up in the winners circle. Also worth noting are Parañaque’s Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria and Mandaluyong’s Maria Corazon Abalos who maybe newbies in the national pageant scene but could surely give the frontrunners a run for their money.
