Pageant veteran Svetlana Mamaeva was crowned the new Miss World Canada during the finals held November 7.

The 21-year-old finance graduate who works in business technology industry bested 43 other candidates for the title and the right to represent Canada in the next edition of the Miss World pageant.

Sara Winter placed first runner-up (Miss Grand Canada 2020), while Sasha Lombardi finished second runner-up (Miss Supranational Canada 2020). Kaitlyn Li (Miss Intercontinental Canada 2020) and Laura Pastor (Miss Earth Canada 2021) were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Prior to winning Miss World Canada, Mamaeva competed in Miss Universe Canada 2020 and placed third runner-up. In 2019, she finished fourth runner-up in Miss Universe Canada. She represented the country in Miss Tourism World 2019 in China and finished first runner-up.
