Elísabet Hulda Snorradottir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2020 during the finals held October 23 in Reykjanesbær.
The 21-year-old Chinese studies major bested 19 other candidates for the title and the right to represent Iceland in the next edition of Miss Universe.
“Words can’t describe how incredibly thankful I am to be able to be on this journey. The love and support I’ve received is overwhelming and I want to thank everyone who stood by me these past months and supported me through everything,” Snorradottir wrote on Instagram.
Also crowned in the same event was Miss Supranational Iceland 2020 Disa Dungal, who was also named People’s Choice. The 27-year-old businesswoman and athlete will compete in the next edition of the Miss Supranational pageant.
Sunneva Halldórsdóttir finished first runner-up. Kamilla Kristrúnardóttir Hancock and Díana Iva Gunnarsdóttir completed the Top 5.
